Art of Wishing alias Art of Crafting!
During the last Valentine's day season, my friend Zara asked me if Unposted Letters could design something for her to send to her love :-) Idea was good but unfortunately we were all busy with setting up the company, our studio, website etc. hence couldn't attend her cry at that time! However, Zara again came back to us last month with a suggestion for designing some special wishing cards for art lovers - this time we couldn't resist it - hence the 'Art of Wishing' is born.
Zara's call for introducing a new product segment was interesting, but designing an all new card with totally fresh ideas wasn't that simple. We know that our art works have an identity, but the art alone was just not enough to make the difference. We considered all aspects to build a 'unique' element that can add a different personality for the Unposted Letters wishing cards. Multiple blueprints and POCs have been done, with crude base product ideas as well as with probable end product samples.
Wishing is an art, and at the same time it's a hack! This is the reason we want each of your wish as 'limited edition' wish, and very special story. In our 'Art of wishing' collection, all cards are hand made of elegant wood veneer and high quality paper boards - with our classy art works printed on it. The additional card serves the space for writing your own personalized stories for the giftee. The 'wrap-around' style envelop and umbrella seal do their job well. If you still believe that these are just greeting cards, probably you are not the right person to own them :-)
Initially, we started with birthday cards and all purpose cards. Our team is now working on more amazing wishing cards for the collection, suitable for different life occasions.
Our special thanks to veteran printer Mr. Babu Uthup and his company (Colortone Photobook, Cochin) for their expert advise, guidance and realization of our ideas. They have a rich experience of more than 35+ years in the printing industry! We're lucky and proud to have them in our team.
Vimal made the art minimal, simple and poetic! When these poetic art works were printed on a wood medium, they looked vintage and classy.
We made all our wishing cards, envelopes and seals by hand so that each card you receive has got a personal human touch on it.
What do you think about the 'Art of Wishing'? How about the way we made it? I hope you're now loving our cute wooden cards - and grabbing one is now an irresistible feeling, isn't it so?!!!
